Why This Work Matters
The societal shift brought on by the pandemic reshaped how we view work, wellness, and productivity. Many workplaces adapted with flexibility, remote options, and a greater focus on employee well-being, only for many to reverse course with rigid Return-to-Office policies. Seeing this change firsthand, I was inspired to explore what truly makes workplaces thrive, leading to my capstone, The Future of Work: Improving Mental Health Outcomes in the Workplace. My research highlighted the growing success of initiatives like the 4-day workweek, mental health days, and remote work where feasible; practices that prioritize both people and performance.
With a deep appreciation for the value of well-being in the workplace, I founded AMoreira Consulting to help organizations create sustainable, people-centered work environments. I also recognize the power of mentorship in professional growth, which is why AMore integrates both consulting and 1:1 mentorship to support individuals in achieving their personal and career goals. When businesses invest in their people, success follows, and I’m here to help make that happen.
Diverse Leadership &
Wellness Experience in Action
Andrew Moreira’s experience is as diverse as it is impactful, spanning corporate, academic, and nonprofit environments. Over the years, he has partnered with student leaders, recent graduates, seasoned professionals, nonprofits, small businesses, and corporate teams – guiding each to thrive. Whether through formal consulting projects or in leadership roles within higher education, Andrew leverages wellness, collaboration, and strategic leadership to drive meaningful change. His journey covers multiple domains, all connected by a single mission: empowering people and organizations to flourish.
Developed and delivered leadership training initiatives in both university and workplace settings. For example, Andrew facilitated a day-long professional development seminar at Florida Atlantic University for employees and student leaders, focusing on growth, communication, and well-being.
Led team-development workshops with student leadership groups to foster trust, cohesion, and effective collaboration. These sessions helped emerging leaders build high-performing teams grounded in empathy and mutual respect.
Served as a Leadership Coach with Braven, guiding a cohort of 8 college students through career readiness and leadership development. Andrew provided personalized feedback, accountability, and encouragement as these students honed their skills and confidence.
Provides one-on-one mentorship to recent graduates and young professionals navigating early-career challenges. He has coached individuals through leadership transitions, personal wellness planning, and even event planning – helping them balance ambition with self-care and purpose-driven decision making.
Advised a small business in the wellness sector on its marketing strategy, aligning the company’s brand messaging with mindfulness and well-being principles. By refining their story and outreach, Andrew helped the business connect more authentically with its audience.
Led an organizational assessment and departmental rebranding effort at Rutgers University, creating a refreshed identity aligned with the department’s mission and stakeholder needs. This project involved engaging staff and students in redefining their brand values and ensuring consistency across communications – a process that strengthened organizational unity and public image.
Andrew is adept at working across sectors – including higher education, public health, nonprofits, and corporate organizations – adapting his approach to each environment’s unique culture and needs. He has firsthand experience in bridging the gap between campus and community, having partnered with university departments, community initiatives, and business leaders to drive shared goals.
Through his collaborative approach, Andrew brings stakeholders together across industries. He has facilitated partnerships that enable shared learning and innovation, ensuring that best practices in wellness and leadership transfer seamlessly from one context to another. This cross-pollination of ideas helps break down silos and creates inclusive, thriving work environments everywhere he works.
Braven Leadership and Career Accelerator coaching certificate awarded to Andrew for 60–85 hours of volunteer coaching in Fall 2025. This intensive volunteer engagement (about 60+ hours of coaching) not only allowed us to give back but also sharpened our coaching skills. Guiding the students through professional skills development and seeing their growth was a rewarding validation of our mentorship approach. The experience boosted the founder’s confidence in facilitating group leadership training, a skill that will benefit our client offerings moving forward.
Beyond his technical expertise, Andrew is deeply committed to mental health in the workplace and redefining the future of work. He stays on the cutting edge of research-backed strategies – from flexible work models to mental health integration – to help organizations evolve with the times. As an LGBTQ+ and first-generation Brazilian American business owner, he champions inclusive leadership informed by an intersectional perspective, ensuring people of all identities feel seen and empowered. Andrew’s passion for global learning and well-being across cultures also means he approaches every project with curiosity, cultural humility, and a belief that well-being and productivity go hand-in-hand.
